Getting to Ojai:

From out of town: For those of you coming from outside of California, it’s an hour drive from the Santa Barbara airport or about an hour and a half from Los Angeles Airport and Burbank Airport (depending on traffic). If you’re flying into LAX we highly recommend renting a car! From LAX if you want to take a scenic and memorable route, make sure to drive along the Pacific Coast Highway (Hwy 1) for some beautiful views. On the way, you can make a pit stop in Malibu to watch the surfers or grab some grub from Neptune’s Net at the Ventura County Line.

From LA and points south: Take the 405 Freeway north, to 101 West to Ventura. Exit 101 at Highway 33. Follow 33 into Ojai Valley; merge onto Ojai Avenue. Proceed into town.

The town of Ojai:

Ojai is a small, high desert town set in the valley of the Topatopa Mountains. It’s incredibly walkable and bike-friendly, with a village-like center dotted with art galleries, restaurants, and one of the coolest bookstores you'll ever visit. There are plenty of hiking trails, golfing, small wineries, and the beach is just twenty minutes down the mountain.
